Tool for creating beautiful buttonholes

  • Optimal fabric feed when sewing buttonholes
  • On thick, fluffy and elastic fabrics
  • Combine with Buttonhole Foot with Slide #3A or Buttonhole Foot with Slide 3B

The Fabric-feeding Aid for Sewing Buttonholes facilitates feed on thick, fluffy fabrics. To achieve this, the feeding aid is used in conjunction with the BERNINA Buttonhole Foot #3A/3B to create a buttonhole foot with an especially wide sole.

The two plates of this accessory provide an additional feed surface, pressing evenly on the material. This lets you produce neat buttonholes with an even stitch pattern – even on challenging fabrics. What’s more, the BERNINA special sewing accessories range also offers a Buttonhole Leveler – a useful tool when sewing buttonholes on fabrics of different densities, as well as on fabric edges.

Compatible with:

All machines that can use the Buttonhole Foot with Slide #3A or Buttonhole Foot with Slide 3B

OM Goodness it was hard to figure out

OM Goodness, it was confusing to put the parts together under the presser foot. When d=sewif, the button holes stopped too soon and made a mess because (as I later learned) there was lint under the ension foot axle. I had to take it to a Bernina dealer near-ish me to find out what was the matter. I ripped out multiple button holes before I sewed acceptable ones. The accessory did help though with the thick wool fabric I used for the jacket.

Not sure if I should have used another one. It was hard to tell from the description of the two accessories what to use. I used the most expensive one. Darn. But at least it worked.
