The Bernina Tailor Tack Presser Foot #7 isn’t just for marking seam lines; it’s versatile enough to create beautiful embellishments, imitation hemstitch (fagoting), fringe, and three-dimensional effects.

When joining two fabric pieces using this foot, the thread tension is adjusted to be slightly looser, allowing the thread to easily glide over the foot’s center ridge. The zigzag stitch creates loose loops that slide off smoothly through the V-shaped cutout of the foot.

For seam line or dart markings, gently pulling the fabric apart after stitching works well. The Bernina Tailor Tack Foot #7 is also ideal for adding decorative touches.
