16X Banner

The Grace Company's midline machine in the new 16 series is called the Q'nique 16X. For people who have some expertise longarm quilting but aren't quite ready to move on to the Elite, this machine is excellent. This computerized midarm has stitch regulating and four stitch settings. With a maximum stitch rate of 1,700 stitches per minute, it simplifies any endeavor. The 16X's straightforward design allows for controlled speed control and good stitch quality, allowing you to stitch at your own pace while producing elaborate and beautiful embroidery. A 2.4" touch screen at the front of the device offers access to many of the same tools and functions found on more expensive models. The X also has 16" of throat space, an automated bobbin winder, LED lighting, edge warning, a stitch counter, and an overspeed indicator, just like every other machine in the line. Combine your Q'nique 16X with one of Grace's quilting frames (separately offered) for an all-encompassing quilting experience.

2.4" Touch Screen

2.4" TOUCHSCREEN

A 2.4" touch screen that comes pre-installed on the 16X makes it simple to browse through all of the capabilities your computer has to offer. You can change the screen's brightness, turn off specific alerts, and even see the firmware version and date of previous update.

Extendable Ergonomic Handles

Extendable Ergonomic handles

In order to relieve strain in your hands and wrists and enable comfortable quilting, the ergonomic, soft handles are made to fit the natural curves and contours of your hand. The Q'nique 16X's two handles can be turned or extended to change its configuration. You won't have any aches and pains when quilting for longer because to this degree of adjustability.

4 Quick-Access Buttons

The 16X has reduced the number of handlebar buttons to two on each handle, simplifying the handlebar controls. The up and down arrows can be used to raise and decrease the quantity, size, and speed of stitches, respectively. The machine may be started and stopped with the "play" button, and it can generate a single stitch or move the needle up or down with the stitch button.

REPOSITIONABLE HOPPING FOOT

REPOSITIONABLE HOPPING FOOT

The 16X's hopping foot was created with the goal of providing maximum visibility. You can easily move the foot to the left, right, or back of the needle, depending on your preferences and the item you are quilting. Additionally, you can change how high your foot is. The jumping foot may press down too firmly on the quilt and start to drag when quilting with thick fabric or batting layers. On the other hand, skipping stitches can occur when the hopping foot is raised too high.

16" Throat Space

16" Throat Space

Invest in a machine that can easily handle large projects instead of a domestic machine that struggles to quilt those queen and king-size quilts. You'll be able to finish larger portions of your quilt more quickly with a full 16" of throat space, and best of all, your fabric won't bunch up beneath the throat. Large block quilts typically have a stronger visual effect, and with Grace's 16X, it's now easier than ever!

Maintenance

Cleaning and oiling your 16X on a regular basis will keep it operating like new. When beginning a new project, after 20 hours of use, and if the machine has been idle for more than 30 days, Grace advises you to oil and clean it. Additionally, the hook assembly needs to be greased and cleaned around every other time bobbins are changed.

BUILT-IN AUTOMATIC BOBBIN WINDER

BUILT-IN AUTOMATIC BOBBIN WINDER

The 16X has an integrated bobbin winder that allows you to wind your huge M-Style bobbins rapidly, in contrast to other midarm and longarm machines. The bobbin cam of the machine is adjusted so that the bobbin winds all the way around before the winder cuts off. You are able to wind your bobbin while quilting because the bobbin winder operates separately from the machine. Grace suggests using 50-weight polyester thread on a cone for optimal outcomes while winding a bobbin.

Easy Tension Adjustments

Easy Tension Adjustments

You may manipulate your stitches with fully manual stitch settings. Depending on the type and weight of the cloth, the setting dial can be readily adjusted to achieve a precisely balanced stitch. These lines, which range from one to four on the knob, let quilters gradually adjust their tension settings. Your needle tension is too tight if the bobbin thread shows up on the correct side of your fabric; on the other hand, if your needle thread is too loose, it will show up on the wrong side.

1700 STITCHES PER MINUTE

Up to 1700 stitches can be produced per minute by the 16X's strong motor. With the help of this strong motor and the integrated stitch regulator, you can produce beautiful, reliable stitches. The machine can also be set to sew at a slower speed, up to 90 stitches per minute. The machine's four stitch modes—manual, precise, basting, and cruise—are ideal for this wide speed range.

Stitch Modes

Stitch Modes

Precise - You choose the desired stitch length in the default exact mode, and the machine makes adjustments to assist produce more uniform stitches. It helps with patterns that have sharp edges or corners because it only stitches when you move the machine.

Cruise - For designs that are continuous, curved, or smooth, cruise mode is useful. It functions similarly to exact mode, with the exception that if you stop moving the machine, it will continue to stitch in place (at the slowest possible speed).

Manual - The machine stitches at a set pace when in manual mode. The quilter is responsible for adjusting the machine's length to achieve the appropriate stitch length. This mode works well for continuous, tiny patterns.

Baste - To keep fabric layers together while quilting, use the baste mode to sew loose, interim stitches all the way around the edge of your quilt top.

Edge Warning

Edge Warning

By informing you as soon as you go close to a certain boundary, the edge warning alert system ensures you remain inside a "safe area" of your quilt. Not only will this assist shield the machine from the frame's rails, but you may also draw lines around a specific block or area of the quilt. Please be aware that when in basting mode, the Edge Warning is automatically off, so you won't be bothered by the alarm while you're tack-downing your quilt.

Designed to Feel Familiar

It can be scary to switch to a longarm machine, but the Q'nique 16X makes it simple! Compared to other longarms, this one is lightweight and highly manoeuvrable because to its two wheels.

ADJUSTABLE LED LIGHTING

LED LIGHTING

Your desk will be lit by incredibly brilliant, color-balanced daylight LEDs, which will lessen eye strain and tiredness. When you need more light the most, this machine is prepared to provide it. The workspace is made even brighter and shadow-free by the LED throat lights, which are paired with the bobbin light to illuminate the hook assembly area.

EASY–ACCESS BOBBIN

EASY–ACCESS BOBBIN

This machine's bobbin case placement has been thoughtfully engineered for rapid and simple accessibility. This makes changing your bobbin easier than before. Larger M Class bobbins, which can handle more thread than regular bobbins, are used in the Q'nique 16X. As a result, you can quilt for extended lengths of time before changing or replenishing your bobbin.

PRINTED THREAD GUIDES

The 16 has printed threading directions right on the machine body, in contrast to many other quilting machines. To easily thread your quilting machine, just follow the images. Cone-style thread, not spool-fed thread, is used in this machine. Use of spool thread requires installation of the spool accessory, which is not part of the package.

BUILT-IN STITCH REGULATOR & Counter

BUILT-IN STITCH REGULATOR & Counter

The Q'nique 16X is equipped with an integrated stitch regulator as standard. The machine's motion is observed by high-resolution encoders. This clever function controls the stitching speed of the motor. When quilting, moving the machine too quickly will lower the stitch regulation's quality. An alert will sound, a red LED light will shine on the needle area, and the "start stitching" button on the display will turn red if the machine is moved too quickly. To turn off the alarm, light, and display alert, slowly move the machine. In the settings menu, you can turn off the alarm as well as the display alert.

Dual Thread Mast

Dual Thread Mast

With its dual thread mast, the 16X allows you to quilt and wind bobbins at the same time. This fantastic function helps you save time and effort! It's no longer necessary to put down your quilting to wind a bobbin. Your quilting and bobbin threads will have their own place with the dual-thread mast.

Continuum II Quilting Frame

The Grace Company created the optional Continuum Quilting Frame to work in perfect harmony with the Q'nique 16X. Made of steel and cast alloy, the frame is among the strongest and most durable constructions ever created. The SureTrack dual-wheel system, channel locks, leveling feet, and adjustable legs are characteristics of the Continuum Quilting Frame. This no-baste frame is intended to enhance the beauty and convenience of your quilting projects. Standard packages of 8', 10', or 12' are offered for the frame with the machine.
