HORN MODEL 8090 SEWING CABINET

Featuring a perfect extra-large sewing machine hole, the 8090 cabinet is ideal for accommodating large embroidery machines. With dimensions of 31" x 15 1/2", it comfortably fits machines like the Baby Lock Solaris and Brother Luminaire.

The cabinet boasts a full-length 13" drop leaf extension along its back, supported by two panels equipped with caster wheels. The entire cabinet rests on casters, ensuring exceptional mobility and ease of movement.

All corners and edges of the 8090 cabinet are thoughtfully rounded and smooth, prioritizing the safety of your fabrics and clothing.

To the left of the sewing machine, you'll find a drawer extension panel positioned above a set of three drawers. The soft-close feature of these drawers prevents any noisy slamming and offers convenient storage. The extension panel provides extra workspace while keeping everything accessible and organized.

Adjacent to the knee space on the left, there's a small cubby designed for your embroidery module. It also includes adjustable hooks for your embroidery hoops. In the absence of an embroidery machine, this cubby can be equipped with three adjustable shelves for additional storage.

On the right side of the kneehole, a 132 spool panel provides ample thread storage. This panel's top includes cutouts for small notions like pins, scissors, and even pens and pencils.

Further to the right, a swing-up extension platform enhances convenience by offering extra space for tasks such as pressing, using a lightbox, or even accommodating an overlocking machine. This platform supports up to 50 pounds and measures 13 3/4 x 22 1/2".

To the right of the sewing machine, you'll enjoy a generous space measuring 13" x 26", which is part of the main cabinet and drop leaf.

The 8090 cabinet is available in white, sunrise maple, sunset maple, or grey, allowing you to choose a color that suits your style.

Upon its arrival, simply unwrap the cabinet as there's no need for installation or assembly—it's ready to use.

To create a flat work surface, carefully remove your acrylic insert and store it on the longest side for protection. Toggle your sewing machine to its highest position. The filler panel in the sewing machine well can be stored under the tabletop behind the sewing machine. When a flat surface is needed, store the acrylic insert in the same location.

A flat table surface is perfect for pattern layout and cutting out. You can also store thin items or a lightbox alongside the thread panel.

Before closing the right panel extension, move the pin clip in the corner upwards to release the swing-up platform. Lift the panel gently, open the door, and lower the panel against the sewing cabinet. Ensure the panel is completely flat, then close the doors across the front of the cabinet. The last step is to lower the leaf on the right side.

With these steps, your cabinet is securely closed and protected. If space is needed, the cabinet can be rolled to the side of the room.

Adding the optional acrylic insert is recommended. This custom-cut insert eliminates the gap between your sewing machine and the cabinet edge, preventing fabric from slipping down. Sewing on a completely flat surface from the front edge of the cabinet to the back enhances your sewing experience.

Acrylic Insert

All inserts are meticulously designed with the consideration that the accessory tray of your machine has been removed. The insert is precisely contoured to align seamlessly with the free arm of the machine. It's important to note that if your sewing machine has a top-loading bobbin, this could impact the insert's functionality.

In some cases, those responsible for custom-cutting the inserts may require additional information about your sewing machine or the hole they're fitting. This ensures that the insert is tailored perfectly to your setup. Any such queries are aimed at ensuring the best possible fit and experience for you.

LIFT

The "Whisper Quiet" Electric Lift features a red toggle switch that allows you to effortlessly position your sewing machine precisely where you need it. Typically, a sewing machine occupies three key positions on the sewing table.

1. Tabletop Sewing: This is for using the free arm of your sewing machine. It's also the position suitable for embroidery machines.

2. Middle Position: This provides a flat sewing option, aligning the machine table with the sewing cabinet top. We strongly recommend acquiring a custom-made acrylic insert tailored to your specific sewing machine model. This insert offers a seamless surface around your machine, including the machine hole.

3. Storage Position: In the third position, the lift lowers your sewing machine into the storage area beneath the sewing cabinet top. When the sewing machine is at its lowest point, you can easily close up the sewing cabinet.

The convenience of the electric lift lies in its ability to position your sewing machine precisely through the simple push of a button. It eliminates the need for exerting force to move heavy sewing machines, offering a smooth and effortless adjustment process.

The max weight recommended for an electric lift is 80lbs.

You are Responsible to check the Sewing Machine Hole Size

Be sure to measure your sewing machine with all attachments removed.  For the best fit, allow 2 extra inches around your machine for the insert to fit well.  The extra 2" also allows room for your machine to raise and lower freely with the lift and the sewing machine cords.  Opening at over 70", the 8090 fits the Janome M17 and gives you  additional space to be creative.

The Horn cabinets are made in lots.  For example, the 8090 model in white might be made this week and the 9000 next week.  This affects the availability of each cabinet.   When you place your order you are in line for any cabinet that may be in stock, or the next run of the cabinet you choose.  So your cabinet could arrive in 2 weeks if it is in stock or be on backorder until the next run.  Some cabinets could be as far out as eight weeks or more.
