HORN 9000 NEW HEIGHTS ADJUSTABLE SEWING CABINET

Whether you prefer to stand or sit, the 9000 sewing machine cabinet ensures you're at the perfect height. With adjustable settings ranging from 29" to 40", you can indulge in sewing and crafting without limitations. The cabinet's edges are thoughtfully designed with smooth contours, eliminating any worries about your fabrics getting caught or snagged.

With a construction of melamine mar-resistant surfaces that are durable and beautiful as well the Horn sewing cabinets give you many years of sewing.

The left soft-close extended drawer features a clever shelf that can be used to convert the drawer into a functional work surface. This shelf is an ideal spot for a lightbox, additional sewing notions, or various sewing supplies. Please remember that the drawer shelf is equipped with two pins to secure it in place. Always make sure to keep these pins off your table surface to prevent any scratches.

A 6-plug power strip is in the back right corner. This convenience makes it easy to plug in your sewing machine, slimline light, or lightbox.

The sewing machine well or opening measures 31 inches in width and 15.5 inches in length. This generous size is designed to accommodate many of the newer and larger sewing machine models, including popular ones like the Bernina 880, Brother Luminar, and Babylock Solaris.

For optimal functionality, it's important to use a custom-cut acrylic insert designed specifically for your sewing machine model. This insert is crafted to fit precisely within the sewing machine well, effectively closing the gap around your sewing machine and extending to the edges of the hole. This creates a seamless and level surface for your sewing machine, enhancing stability and providing robust support for your sewing projects.

 On the right side of the sewing machine is a small cubby measuring 6" x 24", a great place to store your narrow cutting rulers or rotary cutter.

On the right side, there's another toggle switch for the New Heights feature of the 9000. This button allows the entire tabletop to adjust, ranging from 29" at its lowest to 40" at its highest. Whether you're sitting or standing, you can sew with comfort. The memory function can store 3 preferred height positions for your convenience.

With the New Heights feature, you can stand and work free motion quilting, taking some pressure off your back.

For a flat work surface on the 9000 cabinet, gently remove the acrylic insert. Remember to store it with the longest side protecting it. The filler panel, which rests in your sewing machine well, can be stored under the tabletop, behind the sewing machine. When you need a flat working area, keep your acrylic insert in the same spot.

A flat table surface is perfect for laying out patterns, and even cutting out - be sure to get the 36" x 60" cutting mat to fit your table.

As a companion to the 9000 the Horn 90 Storage Chest works wonderfully with your cabinet.  This is a great place to store your embroidery module and other sewing supplies.



Acrylic Insert

Cabinet Insets & Inserts are designed to fit your specific make and model of sewing machine and cabinet and fill gaps around your sewing area*, allowing you to work more efficiently and comfortably. They are made with one of the highest grades of acrylic.

All the inserts are designed based on having the accessory tray removed from the machine.  The insert is designed to be perfectly level with the free arm of the machine.  If you have a top-loading bobbin this may affect your use. 

Occasionally those that are custom cutting the insert will have additional questions about your sewing machine, or the hole that they are fitting, and you will be asked more questions.

THE BACK OF THE CABINET

There is an entire cubby system in the back of the Horn 9000.  One shelf is adjustable in height.  The top cubby is a great place to store your drawer shelf (remember to keep those pins up!)

The adjustable shelves are not considered stable enough to store a machine or embroidery arm on.  

You can choose to use the casters on your table for easy movability, or the glides at the bottom of your height adjustable legs.  The Horn 9000 comes with both options.  If you choose to change from one to the other, take extreme care to completely flip the table over to change them, do not roll the cabinet, or cause stress to another part of the cabinet. 

LIFT

The "Whisper Quiet" Electric Lift has a red toggle switch to position your sewing machine exactly where you want to use it.  Typically a sewing machine uses three positions on the sewing table.

1. Tabletop sewing for using the free-arm of your sewing machine.  This is where you would use an embroidery machine too.

2. The middle position gives you a flat sewing option with the machine table being flush with the sewing cabinet top. We really encourage you to purchase a custom made acrylic insert to fit around your particular sewing machine model, giving you a smooth surface around your sewing machine and machine hole.

3. The third position of the lift places your sewing machine in the storage area under your sewing cabinet top.  With your sewing machine in the lowest position, you can close up the sewing cabinet.

The beauty of the electric lift is getting your sewing machine exactly where you want it with only the push of a button, no force is needed to move heavy sewing machines.

The max weight recommended for an electric lift is 80lbs.

As of January 2021, the size of the machine hole is big enough to accommodate the current home user sewing machines on the market.  Check the dimensions below, and measure your sewing machine.

These 9000 cabinets come already assembled, you just put the feet on!

You are Responsible to check the Sewing Machine Hole Size

Be sure to measure your sewing machine with all attachments removed.  For the best fit, allow 2 extra inches around your machine for the insert to fit well.  The extra 2" also allows room for your machine to raise and lower freely with the lift and the sewing machine cords.  The 9000 has room to fit the Janome M17.

The Horn cabinets are made in lots.  For example, the 8090 model in white might be made this week and the 9000 next week.  This affects the availability of each cabinet.   When you place your order you are in line for any cabinet that may be in stock, or the next run of the cabinet you choose.  So your cabinet could arrive in 2 weeks if it is in stock or be on backorder until the next run.  Some cabinets could be as far out as eight weeks or more.
